Life, like all other games,
when one realizes that it's just a game.
We would not go to a movie or read a book without a conflict or something to learn, nor would we have a reason to get up in the morning, without something to solve or learn.
We think we would enjoy life's pleasures without conflict not realizing that it is adversity that gives us the ability to feel pleasure. Without the contrast we would not know what pleasure was. Pleasure alone would eventually prompt us to seek adventure and conflict. The trick is to play the game of life knowing that as a conflict is created so is the solution. There is no ying without a yang. Knowing this takes the fear out and puts the adventure in.
I've spent several years in Hollywood,
and I still think the movie heroes are in the audience.
