Surrender or keep pushing?

Spiritual surrender is not passive resignation. It is not giving up on life, it is letting go of the ego’s agenda to get its way and allowing the impulse of action, creativity and inspiration from your soul to come through more strongly. Spiritual surrender actually requires more strength, love, courage, and honesty than what the ego sees as its push for justice, respect and recognition.  ~ Deepak Chopra ~

I ask this question a lot. Keep trying or move on to something else? Deepak's answer is something I would advise someone else having the same issue, and an answer I thought I was living by. But for some reason when I read "allowing the impulse of action, creativity and inspiration from your soul", it felt like truth, and was very affirming.

Sometimes we read and teach something over and over again, but as Buddha says, "A jug fills drop by drop." So it is with a truth. Either you get bowled over by it, or you practice, practice, practice. In this case, it was practice, and the jug became full with the words of Mr. Chopra.
