What a Day That Will Be!

This is the most wonderful explanation of enlightenment that I have ever read. The following question was posed to Deepak Chopra and his response follows. AMAZING!

When you realize a higher consciousness, how can you maintain the focus of it in your life?

For higher states of consciousness to be sustained over time, the functioning of the physiology must be pure enough and refined enough for that awareness to reflect through it. Once enough of the psychological and emotional traumas have been healed so that the body can support the experience of pure awareness 24 hours a day, then that state of enlightenment will be self-sustaining, permanent. The physiology is so flexible now that whatever difficulties or setbacks that occur through the day that in the past would have taken you out of that self-realization, now will be instantly healed or erased. The analogy is that the experience that previously would have etched a line in stone in your consciousness, is now just a line drawn in air. The experience happens and is recognized, but it now longer can disturb your inner wakefulness.

There is coming a day when no heartaches ever come
No more clouds in the sky
No more tears to dim the eyes
There will be no sorrow
No more burdens to bear
No more sickness no more pain
On that happy golden plane.
Oh, What a Day That Will Be!
