Trip the light fantastic...

Happy National Dance Day!

“We should consider every day lost
on which we have not danced at least once.”

Quotes and health tip of the day... 7/26/13

“Live the moment. Cherish the present.
Anticipate the future. Frame the yesteryear.”
     ~ Hlovate

We all deserve something beautiful.
Expect it. Imagine it. Anticipate it.

“I'm choosing happiness over suffering.
I'm making space for the unknown future
to fill up my life with yet-to-come surprises.”
     ~ Elizabeth Gilbert

Health Tip:  Sedentary lifestyles often begin at work, so try to get up every hour throughout the day even if only for 30 seconds as this will help prevent blood and lymph from stagnating. If possible try walking, stretching, jogging on the spot, yoga, or Tai Chi. While you’re at it, try deep breathing through the nose. Make one of those movement breaks intense enough to bring on a good sweat for at least 15 minutes. This doesn’t need to be “exercise”. Chasing toddlers, moving furniture, cleaning windows…it all counts.

For you to discover...

I reference the bible here, not because I have a religious affiliation, but to show that our power has been alluded to for ages and ages in many, many different offerings, by authors, poets, philosophers, scientists etc. Yes, it is true, that you may not recognize it until you have been touched by it, and it is difficult to reveal it to someone, but when you discover it, it is impossible not to try.

Luke 10:19  I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

You have the choice to reject or believe/embrace/exercise this power.  Yours is simply to believe in your "God" Given Power and be amazed. You cannot imagine the simplicity and uniqueness of solutions, so simply sit back and enjoy the show. I share in reference to my own experiences. They have been profound enough to keep practicing and sharing.

Feel the relief of the desire manifested and the floodgates open. We are One Mind.

"You see, there is no fiction. How can there be fiction in a world where imagining
creates reality?" ~Neville

“I am enough of an artist to draw freely
upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”  ~Albert Einstein

“Logic will get you from A to Z; imagination will get you everywhere.”  ~ Albert Einstein

Quotes and health tip of the day... 7/25/13

It is not life that's complicated,
it's the struggle to guide and control life.
     ~ F. Scott Fitzgerald

Hopelessness is an illusion
that leads us to give to up.
Giving up is a form of letting go.
Letting go is granting permission
for the solution to manifest.

“Whoever fights monsters should see to it
that in the process he does not
become a monster. And if you gaze
long enough into an abyss,
the abyss will gaze back into you.”
     ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

Health Tip:  One calm, confident
step at a time…
There is no perfect diet and you need to discover what works best for you. Remember, you are what you eat. Everything you ingest is broken down to make up the cells of your body. Food can be your best medicine or your greatest poison: you decide. Diet is also about cultural expectations, financial constraints, emotional well-being, social activities and refining it is a gradual and life-time experimentation. ~THRIVE

Quotes and health tip of the day... 7/24/13

“When life hands you a lemon, say,
'Oh yeah, I like lemons! What else ya got?”
     ~ Henry Rollins

“When life gives you lemons....
they could really be oranges.”
     ~ Ellen DeGeneres

“I believe when life gives you lemons,
you should make lemonade...
and try to find someone whose life
has given them vodka, and have a party.”
     ~ Ron White

Health Tip:
Start your day with a glass of room temperature water with 1 tbsp of lemon juice in it. Lemon, a great source of Vitamin C, is a natural antimicrobial so it cleans and disinfects the inside of your body. Additionally, it stimulates the production of bile which is an important part of detoxification. ~THRIVE

Quotes and health tip of the day... 7/23/13

You are not broken. Isn’t that a relief?
Yup, your soul doesn’t need to be
fixed, nipped, tucked or squished
into an acceptable template.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with you.
     ~ Kris Carr

Practice non-attachment—basically
don’t identify or cling to your shizzle.
And remember, it’s a thought, not a fact.
Get off your own back!
     ~ Kris Carr

Between the stimulus and response
there is a space and in that space
lie your power and freedom.
     ~ Viktor Frankl

Health Tip:
End your shower with 1minute of water as hot as can handle followed by 30 seconds of as cold as you can handle. Repeat this 3 times. It’s the difference in temperature that has the therapeutic benefit. Contrast showers increase circulation, help remove toxins, stimulate lymphatic circulation which improves your immune system, and it wakes you up! ~THRIVE

Clearing, by Martha Postlewaite

Do not try to save
the whole world
or do anything grandiose.
Instead, create
a clearing
in the dense forest
of your life
and wait there
until the song
that is your life
falls into your own cupped hands
and you recognize and greet it.
Only then will you know
how to give yourself
to this world
so worthy of rescue.

Quotes and health tip of the day... 7/22/13

I can't understand why people
are frightened of new ideas.
I'm frightened of the old ones.
     ~ John Cage

Because things are the way they are,
things will not stay the way they are.
     ~ Bertolt Brecht

All things considered,
wisdom requires not only
investigation of many things,
but contemplation of the mystery.
     ~ Jeremy Narby

Health Tip: Before you shower try:
Dry skin brushing: Using a natural bristle brush or loofah, make small light circles starting at your feet working towards heart. Continue from your fingertips to your heart area. Do this on bare skin, without water, and quickly. Dry skin brushing will only take a minute once you make this a habit. The benefit of this practice is its ability to remove dead skin, allow for better gas exchange, increase venous return to the heart which helps varicose veins and most importantly, increase lymph circulation which removes infections and boosts the immune system. ~THRIVE
