See this world as a free world... ~ Abraham

"See this world as a free world, and see everyone in it as trying through their individual experiences to find their way back to that calling, back to that Source Energy. And even though there are billions of them going about it in a way that is different than you would choose, there's no right or wrong way. In other words, bless them all, and get on with the only thing you have any power about, which is opening or closing your vortex to your natural state of Well-Being."

Do we really want to know?

“Listen, sometimes when you finally find out, you realize that you were much better off not knowing.”
     ~ Audrey Niffenegger

As more and more evidence is gathering that this world is nothing but a projection of our minds and imaginations, the question that comes to mind it is how close to this truth do we really want to get? Why was this illusion created?

The answer to these questions is difficult to put in words but it appears to me that we wanted it this way. Emotions, good and bad, are felt by their opposites. Let's say we came from a blissful energy. How would we know it was blissful without the contrast, or at least the memory of the contrast.

“I can imagine nothing more terrifying than an Eternity filled with men who were all the same. The only thing which has made life bearable…has been the diversity of creatures on the surface of the globe.”
~ T.H. White, The Book of Merlyn

Quotes of the day... 8/161/3

Thinking is a habit,
and like any other habit,
it can be changed;
it just takes effort and repetition.
     ~ John Eliot

Thinking is limited.
It blocks all-knowing awareness.
For as long as you can suspend thought,
is proportionate to the amount
of unlimited, pertinent knowledge
you will be privy to.
     ~ Angie Ducharme

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate
And though I oft have passed them by
A day will come at last when I
Shall take the hidden paths that run
West of the Moon, East of the Sun.
     ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

Dive into the pool of awareness
to divest yourself of your
play-it-safe limitations and obstructions,
to swim full blown into the adventure
that life was always meant to be.
~adapted, Stephen Russell, The Barefoot Doctor

Health Tip:  Use natural unscented health, beauty and cleaning products where possible. Try not to rub anything on your skin that you wouldn't feel comfortable eating. The less toxins and irritants your body is exposed to, the less it has to detoxify and they easier it is to preserve vitamins and minerals like zinc and magnesium that might otherwise be used up in the detoxification process.

Quotes and health tip of the day... 8/15/13

You can't depend on your eyes
when your imagination is out of focus.
     ~ Mark Twain

Clearing your misery removes you
as an obstacle for you and others as well.
     ~adapted, Elizabeth Gilbert

Each morning, ask the all-knowing part of you,
"What is the main event today?
What do you want me to focus on today?”
And then listen.
     ~adapted, John C. Maxwell

Health Tip:  Get rest - Sleep is the most efficient way to metabolize excess stress hormones, such as adrenalin and cortisol in the body. And those hormones lead to cellular inflammation, which is the root cause of all chronic, degenerative disease. We recommend taking a nap when you can and giving yourself permission to sleep as late as you want on occasion. While eight hours a night is ideal, some of us need more. If you wake up tired, that‟s an indication that you need more sleep. Wake up refreshed, and you’re probably getting as much as you need.

Quotes and health tip of the day... 8/14/13

If we do not know ourselves, then we are
subject to other people’s evaluations.
No one can adapt to public opinion.
     ~adapted, Natsuo Kirino

Human beings, whatever their backgrounds,
are more open than we think, that their behavior
cannot be confidently predicted from their past,
that we are all creatures vulnerable
to new thoughts, new attitudes.

And while such vulnerability
creates all sorts of possibilities, both good and bad,
its very existence is exciting. It means that
no human being should be written off,
no change in thinking deemed impossible.”
~ Howard Zinn, You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train

Health Tip:  Pump iron to sharpen your mind  Weight training can certainly keep your muscles and bones strong as you age. But in addition to helping you stay structurally sound, pumping iron can help you on an emotional level. Strong muscles translate to a sense of empowerment in the world. Many believe that those who lift weights on a regular basis often have more confidence. New research on exercise shows that when we develop our muscles, we also change the neuronal patterns in our brains, which in essence means you’re also altering your brain. Be sure to get the advice of experts on frequency and use of weights. ~Natural Health and Wellness of New England

Quotes and health tip of the day... 8/13/13

Sometimes it's a form of love
just to talk to somebody
that you have nothing in common with
and still be fascinated by their presence.
     ~ David Byrne

We're enthralled by the words
but where we meet
is in the silence behind them.
     ~ Ram Dass

Different roads sometimes
lead to the same castle.
~ George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

Health Tip:  Breathe like a baby - Babies don’t breathe through their mouths unless they are stressed. Mouth breathing has been called “a stress response.” Because it‟s shallow, it doesn’t allow you to pull air deep into the lower lungs. Nose breathing, on the other hand, produces a full, deep breath that also triggers the parasympathetic nervous system (which helps calm you). Breathing deep into your belly will expand your rib cage over time, allowing you to oxygenate your body more efficiently—and that, in turn, allows your metabolism to become more efficient. Try deep breathing by lying down on the floor with a book on your belly. As you inhale deeply through your nose, feel the book rise. As you exhale, squeeze out all the air as the book lowers. ~Natural Health and Wellness of New England

Quotes and health tip of the day... 8/12/13

If I'm looking for the positive,
I won't notice the negative.
If I'm looking for the negative,
I won't notice the positive.
     ~Marianne Williamson

The world is as we are.
What we see we become.
Choose your perception
of what you see wisely.
     ~ adapted, Deepak Chopra

An idea doesn't leave its source.
If I deem you guilty,
I will feel more guilty.
If I deem you innocent,
I will feel more innocent.
     ~ Marianne Williamson

Health Tip:  One remedy for skin discoloration is to apply a mixture of castor oil and vitamin E oil several times a day

Develop an interest...

“Develop an interest in life as you see it; the people, things, literature, music - the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself.”     ~Henry Miller

It's true. We get so self involved with our desires, wishes, wants, and woes that we miss the beauty all around us; the beautiful things that were put on this earth, given to us at birth.

Then there are the things we have wanted since we started wanting that have already come true. That list is long and we go along never realizing how much we have accomplished, manifested, and created.

Remarkably enough, the remembering and appreciating what has already been given is the energy that is used to keep it coming, and at a faster pace at that. If all we did was bask in the light of what has already been given, all that is desired would fall in our laps.
