What is your relationship with money?

"You are right when you think, money isn't everything. You certainly do not need money to have joy in your experience. But in your society—where so much of what you live is tied to money in some way—most of you associate money with freedom. And since freedom is a basic tenet of your being, then coming into alignment with money will help you establish a balanced footing that will be of value to you in all other aspects of your experience."
     ~ Abraham, through Esther Hicks

Flirt with your desire...

"...if you repeat a thought, or say a word, over and over again—not once, not twice, but dozens, hundreds, thousands of times—do you have any idea of the creative power of that? A thought or a word expressed and expressed and expressed becomes just that—expressed. That is, pushed out. It becomes outwardly realized. It becomes your physical reality."
      ~ Neale Donald Walsch

Replace every negative thought about money with...

“I HAVE A LAVISH, STEADY, DEPENDABLE INCOME,
CONSISTENT WITH INTEGRITY AND MUTUAL BENEFIT.”
     ~ Dr. Millikan

This lavish, steady, dependable income of ours will love being with us with the right attitude...

"When you spend money, whether a little or a lot, wisely or not, do you celebrate that you're creating opportunities, dancing with life, exchanging energy, supporting economies, feeding families, lessening poverty consciousness, demonstrating courage, validating life, eradicating fear, inviting magic into your life, and lifting humanity higher...?"

Mercury Retrograde Survival Guide ~ Holly Gill

Mercury turns Retrograde on June 7th until July 1st 2014.

Mercury goes retrograde in Cancer/Gemini on June 7th until July 1st. The Planet of communication appears backwards in the skies around 3/4 times a year.

Mercury is ruled by Gemini, which deals with communication, technology and travel. These areas are usually affected by Mercury Retrograde and things may slow down.

To make the most of this period we need to be aware of the following:

1) Double check before signing anything
2) Try to avoid arguments or confrontation
3) Try not to make any rash decisions during this time
4) Double check travel plans
5) Backup your computer
6) Try not to start a new relationship, it may be temporary
7) Prepare for technology break downs

On a positive note:

This period is good for reflection, tying up loose ends from your past, past love returning, and taking it easy.

The miracle of Compassion is that
if you even find the edge of it,

The effect is instant. The heart opens.

Quotes of the day... 6/4/14

The best way to dispel negative thoughts
is to require that they have a purpose.
     ~ Robert Brault

Each of us, famous or infamous, is a role model
for somebody, and if we aren't,
we should behave as though we are --
cheerful, kind, loving, courteous.
Because you can be sure someone is watching
and taking deliberate and diligent notes.
     ~ Maya Angelou

The human heart...tells us that we are
more alike than we are unalike.

Quotes of the day... 6/3/14

Whether we realize it or not, it is complaining
that actually brings forth things to complain about.
And, mentally complaining is as destructive,
if not more, than verbally complaining.

“Because mind is Cause and the world is Effect,
we change the world by changing
the thoughts we think about the world.”
     ~ Marianne Williamson

Nothing binds you except your thoughts;
nothing limits you except your fear;
and nothing controls you except your beliefs.”

Experience with the "First Step Method"

Part of yesterday's plan was to cook for the week. I never lined up with it, nor did I force myself to do it. I did, however, employ the "First Step Method". http://amagicd.blogspot.com/2014/06/first-step-method.html

I took the first step. I took the vegetable broth out of the freezer and put it on the counter to thaw. It did not open up the energy to go further. So be it.

Later on, I took out the bag of basmati rice and put it on the counter. I was still filled with resistance and a bunch of rationalizations why I shouldn't cook yesterday. :) So be it.

If the energy never lines up for something, there's probably a reason you do not know, but your higher self knows, that you shouldn't do it at this time.

This morning, I decided to cook the rice. Shazam! The energy kicked in! It kicked in so hard that I couldn't keep up with it :)

I am off to finish cooking now, free of resistance!

First Step Method

We all have desires and things we want to accomplish but sometimes we want them so much and they seem so big that we sabotage even beginning with fear and thoughts of failure, of not having the ability or energy to make it happen.

This can be anything from simply getting the day in motion, errands or chores, to projects, starting a business or manifesting anything that seems too huge for success. In terms of attracting and manifesting there is no difference between the things we see as simple and those we see as huge.

There are times when our innate power seems so dull that we need a kick start method. When this happens to me I use the “First Step Method”. We can always muster the energy to take one teensy, weensy baby step.

Determine what the goal is and then take any step, big or small, that you have the energy for. That one step may be all you have the energy for. If that is the case, determine in your mind what the next small or big step is and then simply feel the success of the first step.

When frustration sets in, take that next small or big step that you determined would come next. Eventually one of these small steps will open up the energy to keep going.

The stress-less, nurturing feeling of the “First Step Method” clears the garbage thoughts that have been sabotaging us.

“I believe that the most important single thing,
beyond discipline and creativity
is daring to dare.”
