Morning Quotes 6/29/17

“Your frequency is what you frequently see.
Pay attention to synchronicity
as there are valuable lessons to be learned
in the repetition of your reality.”
     ~Jennifer Sodini

“Each today, well-lived,
makes yesterday a dream of happiness
and each tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look, therefore, to this one day,
for it and it alone is life.”

Each day is a fresh start!

When you wake up in the morning,
the cells of your body have pushed the reset button.
And if you don't reintroduce negative beliefs
that you have about your body or about your ability,
as soon as you wake up you have a fresh start.
~ Esther Hicks

Morning Quotes 6/23/17

Truth has power. As we begin to gravitate
toward similar ideas, maybe we do so
because those ideas are true...
written deep within us.
And when we hear the truth,
even if we don't understand it,
we feel that truth resonate within us...
vibrating with our unconscious wisdom.
Perhaps the truth is not learned by us,
but rather, the truth is re-called... re-membered...
re-cognized... as that which is already inside us.
     ~adapted, Dan Brown

Our journey is finding the clues,
solving the puzzles,
uncovering the secrets.

Morning Quotes 6/21/17

"Our world is a grand mirror
constantly telling us who we are.
As we meet people, they tell us
by their behavior who we are.
We cannot find a cause outside
of our own consciousness."
     ~ Neville Goddard

"When someone makes a decision,
he is really diving into a strong current
that will carry him to places
he had never dreamed of
when he first made the decision."

Morning Quotes 6/20/17

“Beware of the stories you read or tell.
Subtly, at night, beneath
the waters of consciousness,
they are altering your world.”
     ~ Ben Okri

“If you really want to rediscover wonder,
you need to step outside of that tiny,
terrified space of rightness
and look around at each other
and look out at the vastness
and complexity and mystery
of the universe and be able to say,
"Wow, I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong."

Trees are Sanctuaries.

"Whoever knows how to speak to them, whoever knows how to listen to them, can learn the truth. They do not preach learning and precepts, they preach, undeterred by particulars, the ancient law of life...

So the tree rustles in the evening, when we stand uneasy before our own childish thoughts: Trees have long thoughts, long-breathing and restful...

They are wiser than we are, as long as we do not listen to them. But when we have learned how to listen to trees, then the brevity and the quickness and the childlike hastiness of our thoughts achieve an incomparable joy.

Whoever has learned how to listen to trees no longer wants to be a tree. He wants to be nothing except what he is.
That is home. That is happiness.”

― Hermann Hesse -

Morning Quotes 6/19/17

“We are always creating ourselves.
We are not fixed. We are constantly becoming,
constantly coming into being.”
     ~ Ben Okri

“We must look at ourselves differently.
We are freer than we think.
We haven't begun to live yet.
The man whose light
has come on in his head,
in his dormant sun, can never
be kept down or defeated.
We can redream this world...”
     ~ Ben Okri

Morning Quotes

“One human life is deeper than the ocean.
Strange fishes and sea-monsters
and mighty plants live
in the rock-bed of our spirits.
The whole of human history
is an undiscovered continent
deep in our souls. There are dolphins,
plants that dream, magic birds inside us.
The sky is inside us. The earth is in us.”
     ~ Ben Okri

“We can redream this world
and make the dream come real.
Human beings are gods
hidden from themselves. ”
     ~ Ben Okri

A Way of Being Free ~ Ben Okri

“What hope is there for individual reality or authenticity when the forces of violence and orthodoxy, the earthly powers of guns and bombs, and manipulated public opinion make it impossible for us to be authentic and fulfilled human beings?

The only hope is in the creation of alternative values, alternative realities. The only hope is in daring to re-dream one's place in the world - a beautiful act of imagination, and a sustained act of self becoming. Which is to say that in some way or another we breach and confound the accepted frontiers of things.”

Morning Quotes 6/15/17

Every one of us is,
in the cosmic perspective, precious.
If a human disagrees with you, so be it.
In a hundred billion galaxies,
you will not find another.
     ~adapted, Carl Sagan

The power of love
is like the waves in the sea,
gentle and good,
endless and stronger
than the sky and earth,
and everything in between.

Confirmation of my love of lists!

Here I am sitting on the couch with potential for a very productive day. I have options floating around in my head; some I'd like to do, some I should do, and some I shouldn't do - like sitting on the couch on my phone and the computer with "Hart of Dixie" playing in the background, and the pup snuggled up to me. Though pleasurable, not productive!

It would seem I should make the list right away, but for some reason I have to meet with the panic of wasting a greater part of the day before I make the gosh darn LIST, and then the magic begins. I organize it in sections of have to's, should's, would like to's, and if I have time to's, all numbered.

All of a sudden my mind has been freed up of panic, guilt, and confusion. What appeared in my head to be a daunting, painful list of tasks are accomplished in a surprisingly, rapid fashion. It also provides the space to follow the inspiration to do things that weren't even on the list, like writing this blog post :)

"It’s true -- writing something down really solidifies the goal and makes it more attainable. A study at Dominican University of California found once you put pen to paper on a goal -- you are 33 percent more likely to actually achieve it. Not only do you become more motivated but you are reminded of your goal and become more accountable, too." ~ Paula Rizzo, Emmy award-winning network TV producer, who blogs at

Vacation Is Over

I haven't taken a whole week of vacation since my children were small. I had a great time with the pup. We went to Connecticut and hiked with Jill and Annika. We hiked with Jess and Lilly. We hiked with Elizabeth and Daisy. This photo is from our visit to our favorite park before the thunderstorms started tonight. I go back to school tomorrow quite refreshed. I will miss the pup though. ♥

Morning Quotes 5/19/17

With everything that has happened to us,

While traveling down my driveway this morning, there was one turkey hanging out at the trash (trash day). He was a little afraid of me videoing him and headed to the woods. As I was approaching the mailboxes, there were 4 huge turkeys pecking at the grass. They were not scared of me and I got a great video. While approaching the depot in East Kingston, there was yet another turkey on the side of the road, so of course I had to look up the meaning of the presence of turkeys :)

"The Turkey is a spirit animal closely associated with honoring nature and the Earth. Symbol of abundance, this totem animal encourages us to honor our sources of nourishment, whether they are physical, emotional or spiritual. The turkey reminds us to develop a harmonious relationship with the land and our environment and consider them as foundations to our well-being and sustenance. The Turkey totem is a powerful guide to unlocking the fullness of life and feeling content with what we have instead of accumulating material belongings to seek happiness." ~ Ellen Harris

Morning Quotes 5/18/17

“We deal with our mind
from morning till evening,
and it can be our best friend
or our worst enemy.”
     ~ Matthieu Ricard

It is impossible to be privy to all information,
but it is possible to be privy to all knowledge
by tapping into our source.

Morning Quotes 5/17/17

We know how to work without waste of energy.
In order to get the best that is within us,
we learn to eliminate from our thoughts and actions
everything which subtracts from our purposes.

There is no defeat,
only the gathering of knowledge.

Morning Quotes 5/16/17

Knowledge is cosmic.
It does not evolve or unfold in man.
Man unfolds to an awareness of it.
He gradually discovers it.
     ~ Walter Russell

If we think we are tired or ill,
it is only because we have had thoughts
and feelings that have unbalanced
the bodily conductivity which temporarily
disconnected ourselves from the universal
electric current which motivates us.
     ~adapted, Walter Russell

Morning Quote 5/15/17

I believe that there is but
one thinker in the universe;
that my thinking is its thinking,
and that every man's thinking
is an extension, through that one thinker,
of every other man's thinking.
I therefore think the greater the exaltation
and ecstasy of my thinking,
the greater the standards
of all man's thinking will be.
Each man is thus empowered to
uplift all men as each drop of water
uplifts the entire ocean.
     ~adapted, Walter Russell

you will truly have defeated age.”

“That inner ecstasy of the mind
is the secret fountain of perpetual youth
and strength in anyone. He who finds it
finds omnipotence and omniscience.”

If we listen to our bodies whisper, we won't have to hear them scream...

When it becomes a part of every man's thinking
that a single thought can change the polarity
of our entire body toward either life or death,
and can likewise change its entire chemistry
toward increasing alkalinity or acidity
to strengthen it or weaken it,
or can change the shape
of every corpuscle of matter in the entire body
in the direction of either growth or decay,
then the medical profession will radically change
both its principles and its practices
with the ailment of bodies.
~ Walter Russell ~

Morning Quotes 5/11/17
